Privacy Policy

This site collects a small, deliberate set of data. The choices below describe each thing it collects, where it is stored, and when.

• ›Waitlist email. When you subscribe to the free weekly through the inline form on the home page, your email address is stored in a single database row of type WaitlistEntry — with id, email, and createdAt. The site’s waitlist endpoint (POST /api/waitlist) is the only writer. There is no public read of this list, no public list page, and no marketing export of these emails.
• ›Form submissions. The messages and any email fields you submit through the inline form on the home page are sent to the same waitlist endpoint. No additional profile, profile picture, name, or contact detail is collected by this site.
• ›First-party analytics. Only when the deploy sets the environment variable POLSIA_ANALYTICS_SLUG for this app. That analytics is first-party, anonymized, and managed by the Polsia platform; if the variable is unset for a given deploy, no analytics is collected. There is no third-party advertising tracker on this site.
• ›No payment, no billing, no account data. Subscription, payment, and account data for the Trend Sled belong to the Ghost site that hosts Trends-Led Intel. This Polsia app never receives, stores, or sees that data; the relevant data flow is described by Ghost, not here.

The waitlist email is used for one purpose: to deliver the Marketing Sled weekly briefing and to notify subscribers when the Trend Sled launch opens. It is not sold, rented, lent, or shared for ad targeting. It is not combined with anything from a data broker. The publication only adds readers to its own list.

First-party analytics is used to understand which briefs readers finish, which sections get read, and where readers come from. The output is aggregate traffic shape, never a per-reader profile.

A waitlist entry persists in WaitlistEntry until the reader asks to unsubscribe or asks for the row to be deleted. Every Marketing Sled issue includes a one-click unsubscribe, and a direct request to the editor is honoured as well. Deletion requests are acted on within thirty days; once acted on, the row is removed and the same email cannot be silently recreated.

Raw access logs and request metadata are retained by the Polsia platform for the period the platform itself defines. The publication does not control that window and does not claim a specific SLA here — readers who want to know the current retention window should write to the editor, who will publish the answer in this section once it is confirmed.

The publication runs on a small, named set of platforms. Each one is listed below so you can check what each does and decide whether the chain matches your comfort.

• ›Polsia platform. Managed Postgres database, application hosting, deploys, and managed secrets. The waitlist row described above lives in the Polsia-managed database.
• ›Render hosting.Application runtime — this Next.js app runs on Render, matching the application’s deploy configuration.
• ›Ghost (the Trend Sled subscription host). Billing, payment processing, and account management for paid Trend Sled memberships. This Polsia app does not see payment data; readers who hold a paid membership interact with Ghost directly for any payment-related request and should consult Ghost’s own privacy policy for the data they hold.
• ›Polsia first-party analytics. Loaded only when the deploy sets POLSIA_ANALYTICS_SLUG. Operated as a first-party service by the Polsia platform.
• ›Network security headers. The application sets strict content-security and permissions-policy headers, summarised in the public /security.txt and the analytics endpoint described there.

A reader can ask, at any time, to access, correct, export, or delete the data this site holds about them, or to object to further processing. Every Marketing Sled issue includes an unsubscribe address in the footer; that path deletes the row from WaitlistEntry. Anything more involved — exports, corrections across multiple records — is handled by writing directly to the editor, who replies within two working days with the next step.

If the matter is about billing, payments, or membership, the request belongs on the Ghost site that hosts Trends-Led Intel. The Polsia app cannot see or act on that data, and the editor will redirect the request on the reader’s behalf.

For anything this policy covers — access, correction, deletion, complaints, questions about who holds what — write to trends-led-intel@polsia.app. The editor reads every message and replies within two working days.

A registered business address (street, city, country) will be included in this section once paid tiers go live. Until that confirmation lands, the editor’s inbox above is the single point of contact listed in this policy.
